scientists working with clinicians will be augmented by mathematicians, physicists, and

% j; [! k- d _6 M" S4 {' fepidemiology and clinical approaches will not be a simple pedagogical exercise. Training the
! h% I/ }* A9 |+ d4 Y9 P% e4 ~) ]" Anext generation of scientists who can undertake this research will require more diverse course

collaboration and computational approaches, and instruction in teamwork. To facilitate

3 u0 X* k( p) v) `) }: M% O2 k6 Ewill produce enormous amounts of information that will challenge our capacity to integrate it/ N: ~; w) u- [* u5 E
into useful conceptual frameworks. Imaging technology will reveal the dynamics of
; c, C/ T, G3 a8 z8 Q- ^2 T+ Jbiological interactions at every level, yet produce huge sets of data that strain current systems
